Clean Britain Awards Mission
The ‘Clean Britain Awards’ Mission is as follows:-
To provide cleanliness recognition for both the custodians of public spaces and the people who use them, through the development of a sense of civic pride and respect for the environment in which people live, work or visit, throughout the UK.
Objectives
To enable a wide range of public realm provision authorities and agencies to gain public recognition for the cleanliness quality of the geographical areas within their control.
To enable local communities to feel and share the pride of living in or visiting Award winning areas.
To encourage and stimulate a desire to improve civic pride in the run up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.
To use the positive publicity generated by Award winning authorities and other agencies to help spread best practice to the wider UK and overseas audiences.
To provide an opportunity for the UK cleaning industry to promote a positive and pro-active image, both for its own internal as well as external audiences.
