Clean Britain Awards Participants
Local Authorities have traditionally been the sole participants in the Britain’s Cleanest City Awards scheme. They will continue to form the backbone of the expanded CBA scheme which will include Town and Parish Councils.
Given the existence of many other public bodies involved in promoting cleanliness throughout the UK, the Awards entrant potential, will cover other relevant organisations working in partnership with Local Authorities. These include:-
- Local Authority contractors - both in-house and external
- Town Centre Management / Business Improvement District Partnerships
- Local Community Groups involved in cleaning initiatives in conjunction with their Councils
All entries for the 2008/2009 Clean Britain Awards will need to be submitted through and with the approval of the relevant Local Authority.
