Clean Britain Awards: Helping put Civic Pride back into Britain
Clean Britain Awards, “under new management”
With immediate effect the management of the Clean Britain Awards program has been taken over by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).
This change represents a desire to elevate the awards to a greater level of recognition, drawing upon a strong Local Authority and Street Cleansing background, the CIWM aim to move the awards forward, raising their profile within both the industry and public’s perception.
Steve Lee, Chief Executive of the CIWM said
The Clean Britain Awards provide an excellent platform to promote the work of the UK’s street cleansing and wastes management industry. They recognise and reward the efforts made in keeping our public spaces clean whilst truly putting the civic pride back into Britain.
Applications for the 2010 / 2011 programme will open in January 2010 and close in September with judging taking place throughout the summer and early autumn. The presentation ceremony will take place at a Gala Dinner on the opening day of the Cleaning Show at the NEC, Birmingham in March 2011.
